If your child has had any educational, psychological or developmental testing, and/or if your child receives services such as speech or occupational therapy for which you have assessments and/or reports, we may request copies of these documents later in the application process.
Step 5: Prospective Student Visits
After we receive your application and the recommendation form and school records, we will contact you to arrange for your child to visit SRV.
Admissions Visiting Days (Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade applicants):
Students applying to Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade spend the morning in a classroom with a group of their peers and one or two teachers doing typical classroom activities. Kindergarten and 1st grade applicants will be assessed on age appropriate academic skills. Parents remain on campus during the visit and have the opportunity to talk with SRV’s Head of School, board members, current and other prospective parents. Admissions Visiting Day for applicants for the 2018-19 school year is on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10-11:30am.
Applicants who are unable to attend Admissions Visiting Day will be scheduled for a classroom visit when school is in session. Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade applicants will spend one morning in a classroom with students of their same age. Applicants for 2nd through 4th grades visit for two consecutive days.
Step 6: Notification of Acceptance
You will be contacted regarding the outcome of your child’s application within one week of your child’s visit to SRV. It may be necessary to arrange a second visit or gather additional information about your child before a final decision is made.
Step 7: Enrollment and Registration
An Enrollment Contract is sent with the letter of acceptance. Registration materials are provided after the Enrollment Contract is submitted to the school office.
In order to maximize the chance of your child receiving Tuition Assistance, please complete the steps outlined in Applying for Tuition Assistance according to the timeline. Enrollment applications are considered independently of Tuition Assistance applications. Admissions decisions are made regardless of the applicant’s need for Tuition Assistance.
We look forward to working with your family throughout the admission process. Please contact Kim Schmucki, Director of Admission and Tuition Assistance, with questions regarding any aspect of the admission process: firstname.lastname@example.org or 610.566.1088.
