Karyn Payton
attended The School in Rose Valley from 1984 to 6th grade graduation in 1988. She attended Friends' Select School through high school and received a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University and a M.A. in Education and Human Development from George Washington University. She is certified in Early Childhood Special Education and continues to do graduate work in early childhood education and reading. Karyn began her career teaching young children with developmental disabilities and delays. Recently she taught in the second grade at Friends' Select School in Philadelphia, but now she is SRV's technology and learning support teacher.
Bart Harrison
remembers a much smaller SRV. "There were only two buildings – Main and half of Chip. Our classes were smaller sized, too." He sees the growth of the school since his days in the 1940s and the education the children still receive to this day as "remarkable."
Adam Baldwin
is currently the Manager of the Computer Incident Response Team in the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Global Security Operations Center. He is a 1990 graduate of The School in Rose Valley, who also graduated from Westtown School and Carnegie Mellon University.
Carrie Miluski
attended The School in Rose Valley until 1984. She went on to public schools in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District and graduated from Bates College in 1997 with a degree in Women's Studies.
Clare Walker Leslie
artist, naturalist, educator and author, attended The School in Rose Valley from 1950 to 1957.She attended public school in Swarthmore and went on to graduate from Carleton College with a degree in Art History.She has also studied at art schools around the world.
Jerry Nowell
graduated from The School in Rose Valley in 1938.He was a member of the second class to graduate and sent his three children to SRV as well.
Rob Cosinuke
graduated from The School in Rose Valley in 1973 and went on to graduate from Westtown School,Haverford College and Harvard Business School.
Rob Oaks
graduated from The School in Rose Valley in 1972 and is currently the parent of an Oldest Group student.
