Mini Courses
A group of students works hard to preparing the garden for winter
Mini Courses are a wonderful, unique experience for teachers, students and sometimes parents at SRV. Offered on Wednesday afternoons in six-week cycles for kindergartners through sixth graders, Mini Courses provide a multi-aged learning opportunity for children to pursue activities that interest them. The Courses enable children to share interests and work together, teaching and learning from each other and the adults. Mini Courses also give teachers a chance to collaborate in new combinations and bring their own interests and passions to the school. Although most Mini Courses are led by teachers, some are led by students or parents, with or without teacher partners. Each course is open to Kindergartners through 6th graders except where noted.
