Poetry: Powerful Thoughts in Tiny Packages
It seems like the year has flown by, and Nita and I wish, along with your children, that school could last just a few more weeks. Kindergartner's sense of time is different from ours, and if you think about it – they have been in kindergarten for a fifth of their young lives. SRV has always appreciated and encouraged children to reflect on what they've learned, how they learned, what it felt like. Kindergartners are celebrating this practice by working on their memory books. How we wish you could see them in the original invented spelling and color pictures! How proud we are of their thoughtful reflections and sincere efforts. Their work would make a loving tribute to SRV and their classmates, and a beautiful marketing brochure for the importance of Kindergarten. Here are a few samples:
