Take a Look At. . . Kindergarten
by Annie Suchecki
Our Kindergarten recently went to the Arden Theater for a field trip. The funniest character in the play Frog and Toad was the Snail who delivered the mail. (Literally snail mail.) It took Snail the entire play to get from one side of the stage to the other, happily contributing to the joy Toad would get from receiving a letter. Immediately we went back to class and set up our mailboxes. The excitement is palpable as children now spend every available minute writing letters to friends, thank-you notes, play date invitations, and shared ideas and drawings. It has given us a child-centered and meaningful reason to write. Feel free to write us a note. We will write you back. We're going postal!
