Spotlight on . . .
Service Learning
by Robin Lasersohn, Service Learning Coordinator
This has been a year of wonderful partnerships–thank you to the teachers, parents, students, administrators and community leaders who have helped make these relationships and experiences happen. Our students have been able to make a difference in the world and to deepen their own understanding of a variety of subjects through exploration and work in the broader community.
A Year of Partnerships in Pictures:
- LaBrea helps Naim with his project as part of the Chester East Side Ministries After School Woodworking Program.
- Main Circle students participate in a lesson about the history of lighting by volunteer Rich Paul at the Thomas Massey House in Broomall.

- The Oldest Group plants trees along the Ridley Creek as part of a conservation partnership with Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association.
- Jesse shows off a pepper harvested at the continuing Main Circle trips to Red Hill Farm.
- City-Mouse Country-Mouse Art Partners mini-course students enjoy lunch together at the EM Stanton School cafeteria in Philadelphia.
