Symposium Goals

• To acknowledge and build common understandings of progressive education–its history, practices, theoretical and political underpinnings–through case studies of ten progressively-oriented programs and informative speakers
• To provide a reflective and engaging opportunity to identify points of collaboration through which current progressive theoretical perspectives, socio-political issues, and instructional practices can be explored
• To provide an opportunity for progressively oriented educators to reflect, network and strategize about progressive education's possibilities
